Lupita Nyong’o Wore Chanel To ‘The Odyssey’ Paris Premiere

Lupita Nyong’o is not so quietly having an exceptional press tour for The Odyssey. Zendaya will inevitably command many of the headlines, but Lupita has been building one of the strongest wardrobes of the tour, look by look.

Some might argue that this coral-red openwork Chanel Resort 2027 dress, crafted from intricate floral lace embroidery, should have been reserved for the Paris photocall, while the dramatic Armani Privé gown should have been saved for tonight’s Paris premiere.

I thought the same at first.

But considering the backdrop, that burgundy gown would not have stood out as much, and the Armani Privé gown. was exactly what that photocall needed. Against the Eiffel Tower’s grand setting, it delivered maximum impact at what was effectively a world-premiere-level event. This lighter, airier Chanel design felt perfectly judged for a balmy summer evening.

I had my reservations about whether Chanel would deliver the standout moments on this press tour for Lupita, but I’m always happy to be proved wrong.

SAUER x Jason Wu Branch earrings and another pair of sandals completed the look, and I have to say, Lupita and sandals have officially become besties. This is her third consecutive pair, and I’m fully on board with this newfound love affair.
