Huckberry: Extra 15% off sale items w/ LASTCALL15

Cruel Summer* indeed.

(*Some of us are suckers for rock covers of pop songs… or livestock remixes.)

Anyway, a sticky hot summer may still be sticking around, but Team Huck is ready to buck their sale stock that’s been stuck in the muck.

And thus, an extra 15% off with the code LASTCALL15.

NOTE: Don’t let the code fool you. The vast majority of their sale section is not final sale. So returns/exchanges are very much possible, barring the rare item with a “final sale” tag on it.

Some exclusions apply. Remember that free shipping at Huckberry kicks in at $98, but at least returns are free/won’t set you back an additional pre-paid label. Scrolling through the entire Huckberry sale section is enough to tear an index finger ligament, so let’s get to our picks.

LUCA Leather Terra Low Sneaker in Pebbled White/Off White – $132.60 ($195)

Made in Portugal. The materials and overall design are really impressive. Fit seems pretty true. They’re only made in whole sizes, and the suggestion is to size up if you’re usually in-between whole sizes. A size 11 fit my normally 10.5 D (borderline wide) feet just fine. No break in time needed. That pebbled white leather upper, off white sole, and leather heel tab looks all kinds of right.

Faherty Movement Knit Blazer – $202.30 ($398)

Could be the perfect blazer to wear when you want to dress up without really dressing up. Healthy dose of stretch in the fabric: 89% Supima Cotton / 11% Elastane. It doesn’t look like the sleeve cuff buttons are functioning, so that’s a plus. Fingers crossed the tail isn’t chopped. A shorter tail is okay for a knit blazer. But chopped is never a good idea. At least it ships & returns for free.

Made in Italy Astorflex Dartflex – $202.30 ($298)

Can easily be dressed up or down. Made in Italy. Ships/Returns for free.

Filson USA Crafted Small Rugged Twill Duffle Bag – $294.10 ($495)

Thought these would be excluded from the extra 15% off, but it’s working at post time.

This is one of the (rare?) products Filson still creates here in the states. Dimensions are 18”L x 11”W x 10”H, which = just under 2000 cubic inches of space. Which isn’t huge. Quite not. So with the price being what it is, this one’s a real pick for the “buy less buy better”/USA made crowd.

Proof Type 2 Training T-Shirts – $39.10 ($58)

Far from cheap, but if you’re the type who wants to invest in workout-wear which can also pass as casual/smart casual wear, then these may be worth a swing. “OpenGrid” ventilation system increases airflow. Embedded anti-odor yarns. Fast-dry moisture dispersion + Raglan sleeve construction = comfort even when things get real sweaty. And unlike cheap performance wear, these have a matte, low-sheen finish.

LUCA Terra Desert Sneaker Boot – $155.55 ($215)

Comfortable and then some. The natural Lactae Hevea outsoles deliver sneaker comfort, and are oddly durable too. Like other desert boots, the interior is unlined. So you don’t get sneaker-like padding on the interior of the uppers, but they break in exceptionally well all the same. The suede they use is nice too. Made in Portugal. I’m seriously considering picking up a “spare” pair as the ones shown above are a real favorite and see tons of use. (Yet they don’t show signs of giving up anytime soon, so… no need for a spare I suppose.)

Marine Layer Sergio Hemp Overshirt – $113.90 ($168)

Wear it like a chore blazer. Over tees, henleys, and even polos. Surprisingly useful. Especially when the UV index is nasty during the day and you need sun protection, and then also as the late afternoon/evenings cool down and you want an extra layer.

Made in Maine Easymoc Camp Mocs – $216.75 ($340)

That suede has more nap in it than Uncle Frank on Thanksgiving day after his 2nd post Turkey bourbon. FRANK. AUNT MARIE SAYS SHE’S DIVORCING YOUR ARSE. Nothing. Not even an apnea of acknowledgement.

USA Made American Optical Saratoga Polarized Sunglasses – $163.20$198.90 ($275)

Oooooh spendy, but as classic as it gets. JFK made them famous. And American Optical is still crafting their eyewear here in the states. Black frames are sitting at the cheaper price point. Tortoise are the higher.

Sebago Portland Artisan Suede Boat Shoe – $140 ($200)

Italian suede uppers, unlined construction, hand-stitched apron and… what’s with the pants? Who’s wearing these, David Byrne?

Flint & Tinder Barn Jacket – $142.80 ($198)

Stretch canvas. Triple needle stitching. Corduroy collar and cuffs. A classic casual jacket, built to move.

LUCA Terra Penny Loafers – $117.30 – $142.80 ($195)

Made in Portugal. Super comfortable natural rubber latex outsole. Leather lined. Handsewn moc toe. Not overly preppy like boat shoes, and more supportive/comfortable than drivers. Still visually appropriate for all things summertime casual to smart casual. A couple of suede options as well as a dark brown “ravine” Italian leather.

Danner Proof x Danner MTN45 Low – $130.90 ($220)

Low top “crunchy” trail shoes like this aren’t everyone’s cup of tea small batch hand roasted artisanal cold brew… but some will love them.

(select colors) PROOF Performance Lined Hybrid Swim Trunks – $52.70 ($78)

But it’s not just weird colors. It’s some wheelhouse basics like navy, black, etc. Also, the price drops further if you stack two on-sale pairs, as they’re running a 20% off two select shorts promo right now. Pretty darn good considering they’re a bestseller. These are as good as it gets for hybrid shorts. Y’know, those types of shorts you can swim in but also do a HIIT workout in or go for a hike in or grab a pint in… you get the idea. Soft and stretchy performance boxer-brief liner is the best.

Taylor Stitch Valencia Sweater Polo – $73.95 ($145)

Limited sizes. 85% BCI cotton, 15% linen. Light, soft, breathable. One of their bestsellers. Taylor Stitch makes great looking, well made stuff… but man alive it ain’t cheap. And when Taylor Stitch puts anything on sale on their own website, it’s more than likely they’ll tag it as final sale. That’s not the case with Huckberry.

Made in the UK Sanders Dirty Buck Chukkas – $210.80 ($310)

Sizes 7, 7.5, 11, 11.5, 12, 13, and 14 left at post time. Yes, those are limited sizes but the suggestion is to size up by half. Ships/returns for free. Still an investment, but they’re comfortable, well made, and go with almost everything during the warmer seasons.

Made in the UK Sanders Edwin Unlined Loafers – $204 ($320)

From the same people who make the chukkas. Ocean blue reverse suede. Goodyear welted. Unlined quarters and vamp for a flexible and soft fit from the start.

Free Fly Bamboo Lightweight Performance Hoodies – $55 ($74)

Lightweight knit fabric. No kangaroo pocket up front. Meant for long days and sun protection.

LUCA Terra Moc Chukka – $127.50 ($200)

Earned a 4.5/5 from our shoe expert. Made in Portugal with really nice materials. Leather lined, and the Lactae Hevea rubber outsoles from France are super comfortable. “Canyon” brown suede should go with just about everything casual to smart casual. Sizing seems true. Ships/returns for free.

Flint & Tinder Stretch Knit Flannel Shirt – $59.50 ($128)

Hard to believe any flannel shirt can cost $128 these days. But being that it’s from last season and we’re coming up on the new flannel shirt season, well, here we are. Because it was there. And now we’re here. And the there which is now here is half off. Yahtzee.

LUCA Terra Slip On Chelsea Sneaker Boots – $124.10 ($225)

Extremely comfortable. Made in Portugal using Italian suede uppers and French Lactae Hevea rubber outsoles. They go with everything casual to smart casual, they’re modern without looking goofy, and they’re well made. Make sure to hit them with some good quality stain/water protector before taking them out on any major spins, and you’ll be good to go.

PROOF 72-Hour Merino “Chino” Pants – $80.75 ($158)

Spendy even on sale, but they’re exceptional. Athletic Tapered fit still has good sizes left. Perfect for travel, but can also pass as a smart pair of trousers even with their (ridiculously convenient) welt phone pocket on the back right leg. Gusset for ease of movement. Fabric is a 47% Merino Wool, 33% Nylon, 14% Polyester, 6% Elastane blend which flexes great, yet does make a light “swish swish” sound. They’re still the pants you may want to be wearing for the zombie apocalypse, the next time you’re moving house, or a long travel day with a business meeting at the tail end of it. And for a fit perspective, know that a 32×32 straight fit works for my 5’10″/180 frame after a quick trip to the tailor for a 1″-1.5″ hemming on the legs. Those of similar height may be able to easily get away with a 30″ inseam.

USA Made Red Wing Heritage Weekender Chukkas – $189 ($270)

NOT getting an additional 15% off (they’re excluded) but marked down so significantly AND in a killer rich brown suede, that they’re worth mentioning all the same. Lighter in weight and construction compared to their chunkier work boots. Still crafted in the USA.

The Extra 15% off most Huckberry Sale items code EXTRA15 is set to run through… well they don’t say when it ends. Fair to assume it’ll run for a few days though.
