Chloé Spring 2027 Is a Beautiful Ode to the Obsessions Deep-Rooted in Chloé’s Brand DNA

The rumor mill continues to swirl that big changes are in store for two of the biggest French Maisons. If Chemena Kamali was meant to ease fashion’s collective fears that the celebrated designer is leaving Chloé, her Spring 2027 collection, which was presented yesterday in Paris, did just the opposite.

The collection, which is aptly titled The Obsession Collection, was inspired by everything about Chloé that has captured Kamali’s attention and obsession, and truthfully, Kamali’s Chloé has felt like this since the jump.

So rarely does a designer take over a brand’s helm and have it instantly click with their first collection, but for Kamali and Chloé, it was just that.

Chemena Kamali’s Chloé Feels More Chloé Than Ever

Kamali’s design process has always been innate. After all, she was no stranger to the Chloé brand, having worked at the brand under both Phoebe Philo and Clare Waight Keller’s eras at the Maison. Knowing a brand inside and out makes the design process feel more fluid and intuitive, which is why Kamali’s Chloé has always resonated so well. Kamali, in many ways, is the essence of the Chloé girl.

That instinct is evermore apparent in Chloé’s Spring 2027 collection, which draws upon all of the things that make Chloé, Chloé: the obsessions that have molded the Maison along the way, the codes that Kamali has returned to time and time again.

The Obsessions That Define Chloé

These obsessions include eyelet embroidery, which was used on dresses during the Maison’s earliest days. The technique is reimagined throughout the collection on gorgeous gowns, frocks, skirt sets, and more. Elsewhere, 3D floral appliqués appear across a range of dresses and are detailed on jumpsuits with stirrup leggings.

Outerwear, too, is a focus this season, returning to the shapes that ruled the Maison in both the ’50s and ’70s, like translucent vinyl rainwear and chic capes. As for the bags, this season there weren’t many, but the ones we did see also draw on the brand’s heritage, like a dual-handled bracelet bag arriving in smooth leather and embellished iterations alike.

Plus, if ever there were a bag to obsess over, it would be the Chloé Paddington, an icon of the Maison since it first debuted two decades ago. Kamali refreshes it this season in a woven version primed for Spring.
