Louis Vuitton Spring 2027 Is a Beautiful Study of Movement

Nicolas Ghesquière summoned guests to the Louvre’s Cour Carrée last night, on the final night of Paris Fashion Week, where attendees were greeted with a show set that felt like a NASCAR track. The set was complete with flying cars, tricked out in classic Damier check and finished with shiny red tail lights.

While the set was entirely futuristic, the collection itself was completely modern, with a focus on lightness, fluidity, and how pieces move with the body. In fact, the form of the human body was the jumping-off point for this collection, which is an incredibly poignant statement in 2026—stripping things back to cut through the noise.

A Study of Form

The result?

Lightweight frocks and flowing silks—ready-to-wear that moves with ease, acting as a second skin. The collection’s palette mimics this sentiment, with soft blush, pale yellow, and creamy whites ruling the collection. Elsewhere, a more relaxed take on tailoring appears, designed to move with the body instead of restricting it.

Louis Vuitton’s New Bags Embrace Movement

The collection included a range of new handbag silhouettes for Spring 2027, many mimicking the lightweight ease of the collection, like a sleek, slim shoulder bag defined by a Louis Vuitton Monogram flower sitting at the base of the shoulder strap. Arriving in both Monogram Canvas and Epi leather, the design is shown in both small and larger sizes.

Elsewhere, a new bag combining Louis Vuitton’s heritage in trunk-making with modern functionality arrives in burgundy croc and soft leather neutrals. The roomy shoulder bag is finished with an S-Lock closure, which is one of Louis Vuitton’s most distinct design codes. Collectors will love the suede L.Vuitton bag, which lends the same sporty appeal as the show set.
