Nike Goes Full Ballerina With The Air Force 1 “Lace”

With over four decades of history and over 5,000 unique styles behind it, the Nike Air Force 1 is a sneaker that’s seemingly left no stone unturned when it comes to different design themes. Key word: seemingly. Next up for the Beaverton brand is a brand new “Metallic Gold” women’s look featuring elaborate lace details, shown here via official images.

This undeniably feminine lens has been a go-to for Nike as of late, seen via AF1s with ribbon laces, similar takes on tech runners like the Vomero 5 and V2K Run, and more. The tongue and backtab steal the show, each sporting an elaborate white floral lace fabric over a Metallic Gold background. The eyestay builds on the almost ballerina-like theme with curved serrations, while white lace fabric featuring subtle Swooshes organized in a grid lands on the toe box and quarter. The toe, heel, Swoosh, and outsole all clean up in Metallic Gold.
