Staring Contest: Nike Is Dropping An Air Max 90 With Eyes

We’re used to staring at sneakers. What we’re not used to is seeing them stare back. Nike is dropping a number of eerie lifestyle options featuring leather textures and brown eyes at the heel, a potential Halloween pack beginning to emerge well ahead of schedule. Following official images of an Air Force 1 the other month, we’re now hit with a likeminded take on Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 90.

The round eye emblem immediately calls to mind the Air Jordan 13, albeit this particular jewel reads more human than feline. Our presumption is that these could be part of an upcoming Halloween pack, though your guess is as good as ours at this juncture. Beyond the eye emblem, the other throughlines are the dark colorway and material mix. Safari and stingray leather once again play starring roles, appearing on the mudguard and Swoosh, respectively. Old Royal is used sparingly as the accent color, landing on the tongue, mudguard window, and Air unit.

No release info has been announced yet, though we suspect this Air Max 90 will arrive alongside the aforementioned Air Force 1. See official images below and stay tuned for updates.
