Nike Kobe 10 Protro “Blackout” Releasing February 2027
Nike Basketball’s plans for the Kobe 10 Protro continue to take shape. Following the anticipated return of the model in the original “5 AM Flight” colorway this October, Sneaker News can exclusively confirm that another beloved original is joining the lineup. The Nike Kobe 10 “Blackout” is officially slated to return in Spring 2027, with a release currently expected in February for $190.
Originally released in February 2015, the “Blackout” paired a predominantly violet upper with contrasting black accents, but its nickname extended well beyond the shoe’s color palette. During the model’s original launch, Kobe Bryant explained the inspiration behind the theme, saying, “When I’m really feeling it… I work out until I black out.” The colorway became synonymous with Bryant’s relentless work ethic, serving as a tribute to the intensity that defined his approach to the game.
The 2027 release will arrive in Protro form, bringing updated performance technology while preserving the design language of the original. While Nike has yet to officially unveil the model, the return of the “Blackout” signals that the Kobe 10’s revival will extend well beyond its debut release, with more original colorways expected to follow throughout 2027.
