FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro Releases On September 4th

One of the most coveted themes in Kobe Bryant sneaker history is officially returning for another chapter. Nike Basketball has unveiled the FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro, reconnecting Bryant’s signature footwear line with the legendary football club he supported for years.

The latest collaboration dresses the newly introduced model almost entirely in purple, with the bold monochromatic treatment extending from the upper all the way down through the sole. Metallic Gold provides the contrast, appearing prominently on the Swoosh toward the rear of the shoe as well as the Kobe logo on the tongue. The combination gives the new model a decidedly regal appearance while continuing the long-running relationship between Kobe footwear and Barça.

For longtime sneaker collectors, the FC Barcelona carries a lot of weight; club0inspired Kobe releases have historically ranked among the most sought-after shoes from Bryant’s Nike catalog, most notably the Kobe 6 “Barcelona” that dropped back in 2011. Nike unveiled the new Kobe 3 Low Protro with Nikola Kusturica, the UCLA Bruins guard who previously developed within FC Barcelona’s basketball program, creating another direct link between the worlds.
