The Nike Air Max Plus VII Cultivates “Raspberry Red”
By virtue of the One Piece Air Max Plus hysteria, Sean McDowell’s design is back at the forefront of the sneaker conversation. Yet if you zoom out, the Air Max Plus has never particularly faltered as a retro icon, still adopted by the general public as much as it’s revered by the “Tn” fanatics. While the AMP proper has been a catalog staple for several years now, Nike made a surprising move by announcing the return of the Air Max Plus VII for its first ever bring-back, dipping into the latter half of the product line for a cult classic model.
Given public recognition of the Air Max Plus, the 7 has found suitable waters upon re-entry, perhaps for its overall resemblance to its parent model. Though the dot-matrix siding, which replaces McDowell’s palm-tree inspired choice, does distinguish it from the OG AMP, the same sole unit and an overall emphasis on gradient aesthetics have meant a sensible mix between familiar and experimental. To our eye, the “Raspberry Red” Air Max Plus VII shown here might just be one of the more successful new colorways we’ve seen to date, taking a harsh ombre between pink and white and enveloping the entire top half of this design. A proud red sole unit splits the white mudguard and midsole, adding another dash of fiery tonality before we escape this rosy pair.
The Nike Air Max Plus VII “Raspberry Red” is likely on the way for Fall/Winter 2026, retailing for $180. Catch official images below; we’ll keep our Sneaker Release Dates page updated with any stockists info once it becomes available.
