The Best Celebrity Bags Spotted at the 2026 Venice Film Festival So Far

The Venice Film Festival is truly in a league of its own. While the festival itself celebrates the very best in cinema, Venice has become something much larger—a glamorous gathering where Hollywood’s biggest stars, fashion’s most recognizable faces, and the world’s best-dressed descend upon the Lido for a few days of films, premieres, parties, and, naturally, really great bags.
There are red carpets, boat rides, hotel arrivals, intimate dinners, yacht parties, and plenty of glamorous stars wandering around Venice. And because this is the Venice Film Festival, the setting itself is almost as photogenic as the stars. Our social media feeds have been filled with celebrities arriving by water taxi, stepping out of their hotels, heading to premieres, and generally giving us plenty to look at.
And, of course, the stars of Venice have not disappointed us in the handbag department. From timeless Chanel and classic Bvlgari to buzzy new favorites and plenty of bags that deserve a closer look, we’ve rounded up some of the best handbags spotted on the stars attending this year’s festival so far.
Stay tuned for more great bags, which are sure to continue rolling in as the 83rd Venice International Film Festival runs through the end of the week!
Maggie Gyllenhaal
The talented Maggie Gyllenhaal, who serves as the president of the main international jury of this year’s festival, has been serving look after look, and this one wins thanks to her classic Bvlgari Serpenti Forever bag.
Penelope Cruz
Penelope Cruz gave a very regal wave to fans and paps as she made her way out onto the Venetian canals with a stunning brown Chanel Flap Bag from Matthieu Blazy’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection.
Pamela Anderson
The ever-stunning (and often makeup-free) Pamela Anderson showed us exactly how to nail casual cool while caught seaside with a Demellier Brooklyn bag.

Claire Foy
Though she’s had many big roles since, anytime I introduce her, I’m inclined to say, The Crown’s Claire Foy, so in keeping with tradition, here we go. The Crown’s Claire Foy proved that the Bottega Veneta Barbara bag is a great all-around bag, seen on a dock with a stuffed version of the new House favorite.

Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh, who I initially thought was the actress from The White Lotus, opted to keep it simple for a day out in Venice, pairing a silk set with Chloé’s Paddington bag.

Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin really is Livin’ la Vida Loca this summer, spotted all smiles with a sleek Bottega Veneta Andiamo travel bag.
Cailee Spaeny
Admittedly, I had to Google Cailee Spaeny (and discovered she has more than 1 million Instagram followers), who is an American actress best known for her starring role in Priscilla. She attended the latest Miu Miu Women’s Tales wearing Miu Miu, of course, and carrying a studded Arcadie bag.
Robert Pattinson
Robert Pattinson was all smiles touching down in Venice with a Dior Jett Messenger. Does anyone else immediately think of Cedric Diggory when they see him?
Sydney Sweeney
Did you know that Sydney Sweeney is dating Justin Bieber’s former manager, Scooter Braun? I guess I’ve been living under a rock because apparently the pair have been an item since 2025, but I digress. The actress kept it quiet in a logo-free look and an east-west shoulder bag by The Row.
Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney, who usually opts for sleeker looks, went boho while arm in arm with hubby George Clooney, and we are here for it.
Suki Waterhouse
Is she posing, or is she casually looking off into the sunset, pondering how great her life is? Nonetheless, Suki Waterhouse kept it casual cool with the Saint Laurent Amalia.
