Have You Ever Moved Across the World With Your Handbags?

This time last year, I was likely sitting at my bistro table, overlooking Église Saint-Sulpice in Paris’ 6ème, during my two-month stint to investigate what it would actually be like to live in Paris. It’s safe to say it was better than I could have ever imagined, and one year later, I sit at my high-top table in New York, surrounded by a sea of boxes, ready to embark on one of the greatest journeys of my life.
After a months-long process of visa applications, red tape, and French bureaucracy, I’m excited to share that yes, I am moving to Paris! In 10 days, no less!
Moving to Paris: What About My Handbags?

I imagined making this exciting announcement with a bag review shot around the city, or something much less practical, but truthfully, I can’t wait to share this news because I need your help—and quickly!
I am currently (very, very slowly) looking for a furnished rental to settle into for the year while I see how things pan out, which thankfully means packing only my wardrobe and some decor. Still, with plans to potentially stay in the city long-term, that means bringing the entirety of my wardrobe, including somewhere around 20 designer handbags.
While I will be packing three suitcases, I won’t be able to fit all of my bags in them, which means I’ll have to ship some or use a moving service of some kind, like Send My Bag or My Baggage. Have any of you moved internationally with your bags (and other precious items)?
Let’s talk!
