Remember TecTuff? Nike Just Brought It Back On The Air Max Goadome

The Nike Air Max Goadome is rugged enough as is. Add in materials from one of the world’s biggest performance finish manufacturers and you can be all the more sure it’ll fend off wear and tear with ease. Such is the route Nike went down in the early 2010s, using TecTuff on the Goadome, Air Force 1, and other models that can slot seamlessly into the same winter boot lane. Now with the “Nike Boot” genre at a fever pitch, Nike is revisiting the method once more.

This particular Air Max Goadome originally released in 2013, now back on Nike.com right ahead of the peak winter months. The boot arrives in all black with ultra-durable, abrasion-resistant TecTuff leather spanning the entire upper, lending a coarse, almost concrete-like texture in the process. The ACG logo appears in orange on the outsole, while a metal hangtag we can only describe as looking like a urinal cake is included.

The Goadome is currently in the midst of a big lifestyle push headlined by croc skin low-tops, collabs, and other looks geared toward the fashionable boot lover. This one reads as a more utilitarian option for the true workman.
