Prada’s New Carry Bag Is One I’m Watching for Fall 2026

For Fall/Winter 2026, Prada’s womenswear collection focuses on layering – mixing everyday essentials and finding new ways to pair them. While Prada staples, like the Buckle and the Bonnie, return in scaled-down sizes, the Carry is making it’s debut as yet another reminder that Prada knows bags. True to it’s name, the Prada Carry is the type of bag you will want to carry everywhere. It’s practical, elegant, dynamic, and poised to be an essential part of your fall wardrobe.

Introducing Your Fall Carry, the Prada Carry

The Prada Carry is exactly the kind of bag that makes me excited about a new Prada collection. It takes something inherently practical (after all, isn’t that what a handbag is supposed to be?) and turns it into something that feels incredibly considered. The pockets are the first thing you notice, sitting prominently on the front of the bag and giving the otherwise clean silhouette. But they aren’t simply decorative, they are an integral part of the bag’s functionality.

The Carry comes in full soft calf leather as well as a full suede option. The dimensions, 8.3″ high × 7.5″ wide × 2.8″ deep, make it just large enough for everyday use, compact enough to feel effortless, yet spacious enough to be versatile.  A leather handle offers a classic hand-carry option, while a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap allows you to wear it crossbody when you’re on the go.

There are also side drawstrings and a concealed magnetic closure that allow the shape to shift depending on how you carry it. One of the biggest trends in the handbag world right now is a move towards smaller, more intentional designs – bags that don’t weigh down the wearer or the outfit. Inside, the nappa leather interior has a center compartment, keeping the bag just as functional as it is sophisticated.

I particularly like this version because the belt feels more prominent against the scaled-down silhouette. It’s a bag that can go from hand-carried to shoulder-worn, and that adaptability feels effortless for seasons ahead.

A Fresh Take on the Prada Bonnie

The Bonnie is another Prada bag that has been given an update for Fall, and this version has a completely different feel from the Buckle. Where the Buckle is all about its belt, the Bonnie gets its personality from its elongated shape, glossy leather finish, and the unique details that make it unmistakably Prada.

Measuring 4.7″ H x 9.3″ W x 3.5″ D, the Bonnie is compact but not so small that it loses its wearability. The leather has a really beautiful finish that catches the light, while the side laces and metal buckles add a little something extra to the otherwise clean silhouette. It can be carried by its leather handles or worn crossbody with a detachable strap, making it particularly easy to imagine carrying all day.

The smaller Bonnie feels playful without being overly precious, and I think that is part of its appeal. It has enough going on to stand out, but the shape is still simple enough to work with the rest of your wardrobe.
